As you can imagine, things are just a tiny bit crazy for me this week, with this party, a "real" party to plan (did I mention I'm not much of a party planner?), books shipping out, real-life interviews (yikes! I much prefer writing my answers) and ensuring Promise is going up for sale where it's supposed to. It's exciting and loads of fun and I can't wait until everyone receives their books. But I could also use a really good laugh.

So here goes...

BONUS GIVEAWAY!!!!

Make. Me. LAUGH. Tell me why you think I should send you a free copy of Promise. Whoever makes me laugh the loudest and hardest (judged by how many of the herd of teens come running in to see what's so funny) wins! (Be sure to leave an email address so I can contact you.)

  1. Hi Kristie!

I think that you should send me a copy of Promise because I have single-handedly shattered your childhood by directing you to this:

(It goes directly to you-tube, or if you feel more comfortable, you can Google "He-Man Sings" and come across it.)

  2. Okay, since I have Promise..my new goal is to win a Promise shirt or the necklace! ...or both!

So here is my plan. Since I have Tristan here with me, if I don't get a shirt to wear...he can't wear a shirt!!! SO HA!! He will have to go around naked until I win a Promise shirt or necklace from you. :P

No wait..that probably wouldn't work in my favor, right..? Cause he's hot ....and naked..soooo...hmm.
    ...........

Tristan and I will be back later with a different plan!

  5. Yeah, Jessica, that's not much of a threat. In fact, that's a "promise" (hehe). No need for a new plan, though. Go check out today's winners. ;-) And that's for you. NOT Tristan!

  8. So...why do I need (yes, I said NEED) a copy of promise you ask? Well, I'll tell you why...because first of all Tristan Knight is described as:inhumanly attractive, multi-talented! Hmm...the thoughts that come to mind of what I could do with a inhumanly attractive, multi-talented guy! *wink, wink*

And really, I can't come up with anything better right now. I'm dealing with a screaming 14 month old son because he's mad that the helicopter he's playing with keeps tipping over when he stabs at the buttons on the side, and a 4 year old son continuing to yell: "MOMMY, CAN I WATCH THE KATY PERRY VIDEO?" Yes, I know it's wrong to let my 4 year old son watch Katy Perry's California Gurls video...we can thank my husband for showing him the video in the first place! My son watches and yells: "Katy Perry is haif NAKED!" and "Mommy, she's gonna eat the cookie man!"

Yes, thank you dear husband for introducing our son to such culturally important music videos!

    Have you seen it yet?

  10. You want me to make you laugh? Well, I could always tell you a knock, knock joke, but that would just make you moan and groan. So I am just going to settle for telling you a funny story. My little sister and I are somewhat crazy. Last summer we went to a David Cook concert. Normally this would be cause for some concern, but not too much. But alas, my sister had surgery a few months prior to the concert. Due to her recovery, she was not in any condition to be standing for long periods of time. Therefore we decided to take a wheelchair. We should have known that was a disaster waiting to happen. You need a license to operate a wheelchair. First, I had forgotten to attach the footrests so Blakely had to lift her feet whenever we moved. Second, pushing a wheelchair in a straight line is next to impossible. And finally, has anyone ever taught you that you should push a wheelchair backwards over any bump in the floor? Neither of us knew that one. This is where the funniest part came in. Because we were at a concert, there were many chords taped to the floor, covered with rugs. We tried many different ways to get over these obstructions. Stop and push. Me lifting. The best was the running start. I backed up, started running, but instead of making it over the bump, the wheelchair stopped and Blakely almost went flying out of the chair. The people all around gasped in horror as Blakely and I began to crack up. That was when we learned how to really "drive" the wheelchair.

  11. Ok, all, these were all great! Thank you for sharing. Although this week is exciting and wonderful, there is also soooo much to do that I've barely had time to stop and enjoy it. So thank you for making me take a minute for some good laughs.

I'd love to give you all a book, but I just can't afford it yet. Maybe one of these days...

    So the winner is...

A Simple Love of Reading - I can totes relate to dad corrupting the boys. And I adore Katy Perry and loved that candyland world (though it made me hungry!). But it was the whip cream at the end that had me dying. Plus, bonus points for getting the many ways Tristan is talented. ;-) (Mmm...Tristan and whip cream...)

Email me at kristie (at) kristiecook (dot) com to claim your signed copy of Promise.
