Power Release Q & A

2 More Days!

So many people are just as excited as I am for Friday's release of Power, which is Way. Too. Cool. It's a little nerve-wracking, too, though - I'm feeling the pressure with this one. What if you don't like it? Gah! Sometimes I just want to run away and hide. I don't think that insecurity ever goes away.

Anyway, you all have a lot of questions, too. So here are some answers. (But really quick...after you find your answers below, go check out today's post for Indie/Small Press Month. Alexis, Tristan and Owen are on center stage, answering some fun questions.)

Will Power be available on Kindle/Nook/iBooks?
Yes! To all of the above. The files have been uploaded for Kindle, Nook and iBooks for release Friday. Kobo ebooks may or may not be available by Friday, but if not, it's coming soon. At this time, we're not planning on putting Power on Smashwords.

Will Power be available in paperback?
Yes, but not until September. Due to time constraints and formatting issues, we haven't even seen the proofs yet. But it will be coming.

Will Power ebooks be available in the UK/Australia/Canada/other countries on Friday?
That's the plan! It's already uploaded and available for pre-order on 32 iBooks stores. It's set to go live on Friday for Kindle UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. I just don't know how long the individual Amazon sites will take to make it live. Again, Kobo may or may not be available by Friday. We're having a few issues with their new system, but will hopefully get them resolved quickly.

Will the ebooks be available for download right after midnight on Thursday night/Friday morning?
Good question. I believe it will be for iBooks because iTunes allows us to set the release date, which I assume would be midnight. The other retailers, however, aren't so easy. The files are uploaded and we only have to click the Publish button. Once we do that, it can take anywhere from 12 to 48 hours for the book to show up for purchase. So it may actually be available before midnight or it may not be available until later in the day Friday. Hopefully all goes well and it will be on all the sites, including the international ones, by Friday evening, just in time for your weekend enjoyment. :)

Will paperback copies be available at various retailers?
Once we approve the proofs, the print version is sent to various retailers, including Amazon (US and UK), Book Depository, B&N, and indie bookstores. It can take some time, however, before they become available for ordering, so please be patient.

Can I get a signed paperback of Power?
Yes! We will be taking orders at www.ReadOurWrites.com soon for signed copies of Power and all the other Soul Savers books. If you are international, please email publisher@angdora.com for information on shipping. Please include your shipping address and the title(s) you want so we can look up costs.

I think those are all the questions that have come up the most. If you have another question, however, please ask in the comments.
